Compatibility with doors

The lock is designed to meet common door lock standards.

The distance from the door edge to the center of the cylinder (backset) is 60 mm, which is the average value and is suitable for most doors with a backset of 55–65 mm. Small discrepancies (up to 5 mm) are compensated for by a decorative cover.

The distance between the center of the cylinder and the handle is not critical — the lock design does not depend on the location of the door handles.

Type of mechanism

An electromechanical lock is used, in which the bolt is driven by a built-in motor. This means that:

• the door unlocks automatically — the handle is not involved in the locking mechanism;
• the external handle can be located anywhere and serves only for convenience when opening the door;
• when installing, the lock is adjusted only to the cylinder hole, which greatly simplifies installation.

The electromechanical lock is connected to the main board located in the inner housing using a standard cable. The cable is routed through a hole in the door, which must be drilled during installation.
